Book a Birthday Party at Whirlygig

Located on The Alameda in San Jose, Whirlygig is a large custom play space designed for great birthday parties. The Beach Room features a large indoor sandbox, and the Farm Room is filled with play structures, games, and toys. Guests have the full space for a private event. Your party begins with time to explore all that Whirlygig has to offer while adults enjoy snacks or catching up with friends. Take part in a theme specific activity, celebrate with cake and head home…all without having to clear off your kitchen table! Important Information

Payment policies

  • Initial payment: 50% due at time of booking with credit or debit card
  • Remaining balance: automatically charged to same card 7 days before event
  • Refunds: initial payment is non-refundable
  • Rescheduling: allowed with 30 days' notice, based on availability
  • Twins and triplets: no extra charge
  • Gratuities: accepted, but not required

Food and beverage

  • Outside food: allowed, but limited to 3 trays to make sure food will fit on our table.
  • Outside beverages: not allowed (beverage add-ons are available for your package)
  • Alcoholic beverages: wine, beer, and champagne are allowed with the alcohol buyout add-on
  • Refrigerator: available
  • Freezer: available
  • Ice: available if needed
  • Cake knife: not provided
  • Candles and lighter: not provided
  • Child-size tables and chairs: We have one small table for children, but most children sit with adults at the regular-sized tables.
  • Adult-size tables and chairs: provided
  • Deliveries: allowed
  • Party supplies: If you purchase food through us, we provide plates, napkins, and utensils. If not, you can bring your own.
  • Cups are not needed for our beverage packages, because they come in their own containers.

Decorations

  • We have a backdrop, party fans, a Happy Birthday banner, decorated tables, center pieces, table runners, and tablecloths.
  • Some packages come with additional decorations, as described.
  • If you bring your own decorations, they must be free-standing, except for a banner which can be attached to our hooks. You will have 15 minutes after the party to clean up your own decorations.


Arrival and departure

  • Parking: free parking on the surrounding streets, and the host family gets a reserved spot in our garage
  • Arrival time for organizers: 15 minutes before the scheduled party time
  • Set-up: assistance provided
  • Clean-up: assistance provided
  • Supervision: parents should stay on site
  • Signed waivers: required

Other information

  • We are a shoeless facility. Children should wear non-skid socks or go barefoot. Adults must remove their shoes.
  • Parties are staffed by our team
  • Outside entertainers: allowed
  • Anything broken or damaged during a party will be charged to the card on file.
